Shuttle

Spectators and supporters, you have conquered the mythic Rayée conqueere, let’s now conqueer the slope of the Poli. Make it as legendary as the Rayée !

A free shuttle is available from 9:15am on saturday at the crossing of Chanony street and Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny street.

> Shuttle rotation : every 15 to 20mn.
> Destination : the slope of the Poli, km2.5 of the XL triathlon bike course.
> The athetes will climb the Poli 3 times.
> Animation : Speaker et music to encourage and push the athletes !

The Triathlon de Gérardmer exhibition hosts nearly 40 exhibitors on  4000m2 and 20 000 visitors each year.

Regulations

Swim

> Neopren swim suit is allowed if the temperature is below 24.6°C.
> The access to the starting zone is only allowed to the athletes.
> Artifical aids such as hand paddle, gloves, slippers, snorkel, flippers, jackets or any other floating aids are forbidden.
> Wearing the swim cap given by the organisation is compulsory. 


For Triathlon XL athletes only :

You must take off your swim suit only in the changing booth. The athlete has to put his swim suit in his bag himself. 

Bike

> All the race course are closed to road traffic but athletes must ride on the right side of the road and respect road traffic regulation.
> Drafting is forbidden : the minimum distance between bikes is 12m, measured between the rear wheel of the front bike and the front wheel of the following bike.
> An athlete has 25” to overtake another athlete.
> The athlete who has been overtaken has to let himself pull away in max 25” to respect the 12m distance betwen 2 bikes.  
> The bib number and all bib number stickers must be visible (not fold or cut) and the bib number must be worn on the back. Modifications of the bib number is forbidden.

> Athletes must fix their bikes with their own tools and spare items only. No external assistance is allowed.
> It’s forbidden to use radioset, wireless, mobil phone, MP3 reader, earphones. 
> Athletes must respect each other. All unsporting or dangerous behaviour will be penalised by the immediate disqualification of the athlete. 
> The use of a helmet is compulsory on the whole bike course. The chinstrap must stay locked until the bike deposit in the transition area.
> Rubishes can be thrown out only at the waste zone, just before and after the aid station.
> Athletes must keep their right to ease overtaking by leading athletes. 

For Triathlon XL and Olympic Distance Triathlon athletes : 

Failure to comply with non-drafting rules will be penalised by a blue card corresponding to a 5-minute penality. The athlete must stop at the penality tent before the end of the bike course.

For Triathlon XL only : Concerne uniquement le Triathlon XL :
During the bike check-in (friday 2:00pm – 7:00pm and saturday morning), as well as during the bike course, you can access to a technical aid station at the entrance of the transition area. A mechanic will be able to fix the bike but the athlete must provide the items.

Run

> Coaching is allowed on the side of the road. However, the coach can’t s go along with the athlete by bike or anything else.
> The bib number must be visible and worn on the front.
It’s forbidden to use radioset, wireless, mobil phone, MP3 reader, earphones.
> Family, friends and coach are not allowed at the finish line aid station. 

Awards ceremony

> The podium of each age group category will be awarded. 

> The award ceremony will take place on saturday 5th of September starting from 6:00pm. 

> The winner of each age group category will get a free registration for the Triathlon XL 2021 edition as well as a Scott RC Raceday 60 bag.

> The winner of each age group category will be awarded. 

> The award ceremony will take place on sunday 6th of september starting from 6:30pm. 

> The winner of each age group category will get a free registration for the Olympic Distance Triathlon edition 2021 edition.

> The podium of the scratch ranking (women and men) and the podium of the categories cadet, junior, senior and veteran (women and men) will be awarded. 

> The award ceremony will take place on sunday 6th of september starting from 5:30pm.

> The podium of each age group category will be awarded. 

> The award ceremony will take place on sunday 6th of september starting from 5:30pm.
