Testimonials

This is my fourth time doing the discovery triathlon, and I admit that I never thought I'd go for the Olympic distance, because I swim like a stone-carrying frog 😅. But the experience is so wonderful, and the climb up La Rayée is too legendary not to try.

So, in 2026, it will be a big challenge for me. And we'll meet on the podium, of course 😘

My name is Tom, I have been doing triathlons for three years at the Hermitage Tournonais Triathlon club in Drôme-Ardèche, and my brother Lucas, who is 15, has been doing them since he was six. I love this sport because there is so much to learn, you have to be organized, and I really enjoy all three disciplines, especially swimming, where I swim very fast and compete in many races throughout the year.
In our club, we are all very supportive, we encourage each other and we are a real team, even though it is a sport where you push yourself to your limits.
My trademark is that every time I finish a race, I do the airplane ✈️, and I love it.
In 2025, I took part in the Gérardmer Triathlon and it was incredible: we left Tain in a minibus with my family and friends.
Even my 4-year-old friend Charlie did the kids' triathlon for babies. It was so much fun, and I really hope to go back this year.
We took a great photo with my brother and my friends... Long live triathlon 🚀

The Gérardmer Triathlon, a must-see event in the sport! Able-bodied and paratriathletes come together in a magnificent challenge in the heart of the Vosges mountains. More than an adventure, it's a shared experience. With the crowd (crazy atmosphere), with your “opponents,” and with exceptional views. When you start in Gérardmer, you're sure to want to come back.

Participating in the Gérardmer Triathlon is an exceptional experience... attentive volunteers... a region with a magnificent course and memories to last a lifetime. ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Gérardmer Triathlon,

You and I have a wonderful history together. You saw me start triathlon twice in the discovery format, then I cut my teeth and my taste for the triple effort pushed me to take on your Olympic distance, with burning legs but a light heart, carried by the “Tour de France” fervor of a fired-up crowd.

And after two editions of this magnificent DO, we wanted to extend our annual dance together with a first XL, in a more intimate atmosphere, in the heart of the pine forests that line the bike course, before returning to the atmosphere that makes you such a special event around Lake Gérardmer.

So this year again, the date is set: it will be a second XL on the program.

As every year, it promises to be a magnificent weekend with friends from the club 💙🤍, the smiles of the volunteers, and the pleasure of pushing ourselves to new sporting heights in Gérardmer ❤️.

As someone from the Vosges region, the Gérardmer Triathlon has always been a dream of mine. I set myself the goal of achieving it by my 25th birthday: my first Olympic distance race, and what a joy it was 🥹

Preparation, stress, apprehension, and desire: everything came together at the start in the pearl of the Vosges. The 1.5 km swim, feared by many, and there I was, thrown into the “washing machine,” without really realizing that the adventure was beginning.

Forty minutes later, I came out of the water, far ahead... but it didn't matter: it was time to get on the bike. Three laps, three climbs of the legendary striped hill, carried along by an atmosphere worthy of the Tour de France. The places followed one after the other, the gap was closed, and it was time for the run.

The 10 km were tough after the swim and the bike ride, and a too-fast start prevented me from aiming for sub-50, but the main thing was elsewhere: to finish this exceptional experience.

In the end, I finished in 3 hours and 14 minutes, with a goal of under 4 hours, thrills, joy, and the emotion of seeing my sister at the finish line and my loved ones along the course.

A unique experience in the most beautiful department of France. Thank you to the entire Gérardmer Triathlon organization for these emotions 🫶🏻
