Discovery Triathlon
The Linvosges Discovery Triathlon will start on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. at the Union Nautique.
Race numbers can be collected at the Espace Lac in Gérardmer from Friday, September 4, at 2:00 p.m.
Distances: 500m swim – 20km bike – 5km run Event open to athletes aged 16 and over (born in 2010 or earlier) Those who are not licensed triathletes must provide a medical certificate. Race numbers can only be collected by the athlete themselves, upon presentation of ID and any missing documents (medical certificate or sports license). Limited number of places available
TIME LIMIT
Start 8:00 a.m.
Swimming + transition 30 min (8:30 a.m.)
Swimming + cycling: 1 hour 30 min (9:30 a.m.)
SWIMMING
Start at 8:00 a.m. in a single wave at Union Nautique
500m in the clear waters of Lake Gérardmer
Wetsuits are permitted if the water temperature is below 24.6°C
Training in the lake is only permitted along the shore
BIKE
Head towards Xonrupt to cycle around Lake Longemer, then return to Gérardmer.
Main difficulty: km 4: Poli climb – 1.5 km at 6.6%
Safety: Cycle route completely closed to traffic
One refreshment station (km 5.5) on the route
Elevation gain: 260 m
Swimming + cycling: 1 hour 30 minutes
Transition area closes at 9:30 a.m.
RUNNING
Round trip along Lake Gerardmer
Shaded, hilly circuit consisting of 80% asphalt and 20% stabilized path
Elevation gain: 70m
Refreshments available halfway through the route
AWARDS
The winners in each category (junior, senior, veteran) will be awarded prizes, as will the men’s and women’s scratch podium finishers on Sunday, September 5 at 5:30 p.m.
