Olympic Distance Triathlon

The Olympic Distance Triathlon will start on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at the Union Nautique.
Race numbers can be collected at the Espace Lac in Gérardmer from Friday, September 4, at 2:00 p.m.

Distances: 1.5km swim – 40km bike – 10km run
Event open to junior category and above (18 years old, born in 2008)
Those without a triathlon license must provide a medical certificate.
Race numbers can only be collected by the athlete themselves, upon presentation of ID and any missing documents (medical certificate or sports license).
Limited number of places available.

TIME LIMIT

Start: 1:30 p.m.
Swimming + End of second bike lap: 2.5 hours (4:00 p.m.)

SWIMMING

Departure at 1:30 p.m. from Union Nautique in a single wave.
1,500 meters in the clear waters of Lake Gérardmer.
Course marked by yellow buoys.
Wetsuits permitted if the water temperature is below 24.6°C.
Training in the lake is permitted only along the shore.

BIKE

 3 loops of 13.3 km including the Rayée climb (15% gradient).
 Elevation gain: 330 m/lap
 One refreshment station/lap
 Safety: Bike course completely closed to traffic.
 Swimming + biking (end of 2nd lap): 2 hours 30 minutes

RUNNING

Two 5.5 km loops along Lake Gérardmer.
Shaded, hilly circuit consisting of 80% asphalt and 20% stabilized path.
Elevation gain: 70 m per lap.
Two refreshment stations per lap.

AWARDS

The winner of each age category will be awarded during the awards ceremony on Sunday, September 6, starting at 6:30 p.m.

The winner of each age category in the Olympic Distance Triathlon will be invited to participate in the 2027 edition.
